When you buy from The Red & Black you do more than get stylish merchandise. All proceeds from your purchases support our mission of training the next generation of journalists. As a nonprofit student media organization, we serve as a hands-on learning lab for hundreds of students each year. At The Red & Black, students learn everything from reporting and editing to social media management and multimedia production. As a news organization that publishes seven days a week, year round, we serve the UGA and Athens community with quality news and a family of special publications.
I learned more at The Red & Black than I did at any of the internships I had while attending the University of Georgia. It’s where I learned how to write, report, take photos and be a newsroom leader. Even though I graduated from UGA in May, I really feel like I graduated from The Red & Black.
